Coaching

Whatever your athletic goals I can help you achieve them. This can range from doing your first Park Run through to completing an ultra run or Ironman. I mainly focus on running, cycling, triathlon, strength and nutrition, but whatever your needs I should be able to help you.

I keep up to date with the latest research in most areas that affect training, recent topics include training for fatigue resistance, nutrition and hydration for endurance events, and strength training specific for running.

The question I often get asked is why do I need a coach, can’t I just use a free training plan. You can get good results with a training plan. However, you are spending a lot of your precious time training and you want to make sure that it is as focused as possible. Are you training hard enough to get fitter? Are you training too much and risk getting injured? Will you stick to the plan, or like many a diet, start well but then fail after a short time. Having a coach means that you are more likely to achieve whatever goal you are trying to achieve.

The training is done remotely, using TrainingPeaks. In-person sessions can be arranged when needed, particularly when I first start working with you.
